What customers say?

“ Lovely little cafe with beautiful planting out on the terrace/patio area. Clean toilets. Little band of merry men started up just as we were leaving but we listened to 1 song. ”

“ Nice enough place. Been twice now and car park was rammed both times. Cafe inside is chaos. Nice but rammed and small so didn't end up getting a drink. But 4* because it's nice but just not somewhere I'd want to sit personally. If you have a dog or a pram it's pretty stressful actually. There are toilets and baby changing though which is good along the walk. ”

“ We did a blacksmith workshop with Darren at Iron and Oak today, can highly recommend . It was such a satisfying experience making our lovely candle holders. We enjoyed home made brownies and cheese scones in the lovely, friendly cafe too. ”

“ Lovely place called in for a coffee after a walk with our dog. ”

- Dawn Blackburn -

“ Friendly staff and excellent grub! Highly recommended. Pro tip 1: the car park out front is on the tight side if you have a big car. Pro tip 2: to get to the café, take the path around the left hand side of the building, then around the back. Whilst COVID is kicking around, the front entrance is closed and you can't get through. ”

- Jon Bennett -

“ Free parking, clean toilets, nice food and coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly (on lead), water bowls outside. Perfect place to start a walk along Derwent river. ”
